A few weeks ago I read the E.M. Forster short story, “The Machine Stops” for the first time. Written in 1909, it was eerie how his close his depiction of the future was going to be. The story is simple, but it’s message inspired me to take a look at the work I’ve been doing lately and ponder: what happens when our society becomes to dependent on technology to the point of losing all human interaction?
