Carmex – Half Court Hero

Through a partnership with LeBronJames.com and Carmex, Bolin was able to fly our sweepstakes winner, Mike Drysch to Miami for a long weekend and a chance to take a half-court shot for $75,000 during a break in the Miami Heat – Detroit Pistons basketball game. As Mike took the floor and grabbed the basketball, little did we know that we would experience the basketball shot heard around the world, and create an overnight global viral sensation and an iconic SportsCenter moment.

As Creative Director, I was there to capture the moment and experience what it’s like to see a person become a household name within seconds. Millions upon millions of impressions later, Mike Drysch continues to make me and the rest of the world smile.
